From the trailhead on Middle Mountain Road, we will hike the Cave Basin trail through forest and meadows to a ridge promontory offering mountain views across the Vallecito valley on the West and a beautiful overlook of Dollar Lake and Emerald Lake in the Pine River Valley to the East.
