Starting at the Rockridge trail head, hike to the Perins Peak backslope. Then, turn right and shortly after north on the trail to Peak 8,682 feet, unofficially called North Perins Peak. See Debra Van Winegarden map and hike description here: https://debravanwinegarden.blogspot.com/2015/09/perins-peak-8346-durangos-landmark.html. We will not reach the north point, but the group may decide to hike the Stone Boy loop. Given limited trail head parking, encouraging meeting at RC parking lot.
