SO! General Meeting: “416 Fire Facts, Fixes and the Future”

Cam Hooley from the San Juan National Forest will be presenting a slideshow showing facts and photos about suppression of the 416 Fire that occurred north of Durango in 2018. She will also discuss how the U. S. Forest Service reduces harm to natural resources during and after wildfires, and a peek into the future of the 416 Fire burned area.
Speaker Bio: Cam was the Acting Public Affairs Officer for the San Juan National Forest when the 416 Fire started, but is usually the Environmental Coordinator for the Columbine Ranger District and has been in that position for 17 years. She has worked for the U. S. Forest Service for 28 years.
