WW hike Tuckerville

Wednesday, July 10, 8:00 am Register by Email

Middle Mountain Road is on the north side of Vallecito Lake. We will drive 11 miles on Middle Mountain Road (good dirt road) all the way to its end where we find the site of Tuckerville – a small mining camp that operated in the 1920s. We might see a few relics but all the buildings have long since been removed. We will be hiking on a closed road. With some luck we may see displays of wildflowers along the side of the road and into the forest. King and Queens Crown are quite common. Our starting elevation is 10,700 but the reward at the top are spectacular views into Cave Basin. Lunch afterwards at Weminuche Grill for those that can wait! Carpool accordingly!
Carpool $5. Two well behaved leashed dogs ok, include in RSVP. Limit 20.
RSVP Pam Cissik pamcissik@gmail.com. Co-leader: Larry Mills.
